Abby Wheeler :

I have been making since I was a kid...always with a crayon or marker in my hand! After honing my drawing and painting skills in high school, I found my way to Tyler School of Art at Temple University, where my love for craft blossomed. Making things with my hands has always felt very intuitive and natural to me, and my love for craft grew into a passion for so much more. I found that I was content regardless of the medium in my hand; but what actually lit me up was the vibes of the community around each material. Working with each medium ignites a unique energy inside me based on how I, and the people around me, interact with it.

Connecting with others and teaching has become my greatest inspiration. I am extremely fortunate that my strongest creative community is my family, and I now get to teach and create with my mom every day!

Jill Severino :

Crafting has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. A new coloring book and fresh box of crayons were always my favorite gifts as a child. In high school, I stacked my schedule with art and craft classes. As a special education teacher, my classroom aesthetic combined color and craft to create a happy, motivating learning environment.

I love to play with paper and paint…collage and mixed media art are my favorites to create and collect! Girls’ day out? Yes, please! Give me all the craft shows and art markets! Supporting the local maker and shopping small is my go-to, feel good, kind of day.

Opening Studio 323, together with my daughter … (I like to say, I was waiting for my biz partner to grow up to bring this dream to life!)…I’m grateful for the opportunity to join this community I love so much.

Ryan Wheeler

Ryan Wheeler is a potter based in Phoenixville, PA. Ryan grew up in the Philadelphia area suburbs and received his B.F.A. from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in 2016. Since then, he has worked as a studio technician, wood kiln assistant, and teacher at various art centers and schools. Ryan creates functional pots for daily use in the home. His current work is focused on atmospheric pots with brushwork and slip decorations. This work is inspired by the natural patina that objects of age and use acquire, similar to a well used leather wallet. His work is available for purchase in our shop!

Ryan is our lead pottery instructor here at Studio 323 and handles all things clay…like processing, firing, and glazing our workshop creations! If you join for a clay workshop or private pottery experience, you will likely get to experience his patient & articulate style of teaching!
