7/10 Ceramic Blob Trays w/ Julie Miller

$60.00

Join us as we kick off Blobfest Weekend with a bit of a blobby pre-party!! In this workshop, local potter, Julie Miller, will guide you through hand building a serving/trinket tray using a clay slab and mold. Once you’ve made your form, we’ll invite you to add unique elements using Julie’s signature decorating technique, slip trailing. This involves squeezing liquid clay out of a bottle, creating perfect blobby details! After the workshop, we will add a red glaze wash over your creation and then fire it into a shiny, ceramic, food safe, blob-tray!

Thursday, July 10th, 6-8pm

Ages 21+

The ceramic process is a slow one…but it’s so worth it! Your piece needs to dry for about a week, removing any moisture to prevent kiln accidents. Then your piece will be fired twice. You will receive an email from us when your piece is ready to be picked up at our studio 3-4 weeks after your workshop. The process is slow but it’s worth the wait!

Registration includes:

  • All materials and instruction for hand building your tray

  • Glaze and firing services

  • Complementary coffee and tea

  • BYOB is welcome!
